Peugeot 3008 GT First Look: A Fastback SUV With A 21-Inch Screen And A 136-PS Hybrid

We filmed the blue 3008 at MotionExpo Graz. The AUTO TV walkaround praises the styling and the 21-inch screen, and the Austrian list runs from €39,330.

The Peugeot 3008 GT puts a fastback SUV body around a 21-inch curved screen, and its entry engine is a 136-PS three-cylinder mild hybrid. The AUTO TV walkaround goes further and asks whether it is the most beautiful crossover on sale.

We filmed the blue car at MotionExpo Graz and photographed it on Sunday, 16 March 2025. It stood on the Peugeot display next to a black 308 SW, and the AUTO TV video calls it the 3008 GT.

Fangs, Fastback And Pixel Headlights

The walkaround credits the design team for the fang-like LED daytime lights and the fastback profile. On the GT it lists 20-inch wheels and pixel LED headlights.

Our photographs show that front end. A diamond-pattern grille surrounds the lion badge, three claw-shaped light strips sit on each side, and a black bar carries the 3008 lettering across the bonnet edge.

A Cabin Built Around One Screen

Peugeot Austria describes the Panorama i-Cockpit as a curved HD screen of 21 inches floating above the dashboard. The walkaround calls it well integrated and says wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard.

The GT adds Alcantara upholstery, ambient lighting and fabric dashboard inserts. The walkaround also points out a small hexagonal steering wheel.

Despite the sloping roof, the walkaround says four adults fit with decent rear legroom. The boot is 520 litres on Peugeot Austria’s sheet, or 1,480 litres with the rear seat folded.

Peugeot Chose Efficiency Over Speed

The engine is a 1.2-litre turbo three-cylinder with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Peugeot Austria’s sheet gives 10.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a top speed of 201 km/h.

That is the cost of the small engine. The payoff is fuel, with 5.4 to 5.6 litres per 100 km and 124 to 129 g/km of CO2 on the same sheet, marked as provisional data.

Plug-In And Electric Versions Sit Above It

The Hybrid 136 is the entry point. Peugeot Austria’s list also carries a 195 PS plug-in hybrid with a 143 kW output, and two electric versions. One has 210 PS (157 kW) and a 73 kWh battery, the other 230 PS (170 kW) and 98 kWh.

Peugeot Austria’s homepage of 15 March 2025 quoted a range of 525 to 700 km for the electric 3008, with 525 km for the 210 PS two-wheel-drive version. The list prices the 230 PS version €4,100 above the 210 PS in Allure and €4,300 above it in GT.

€36,220 On The Windscreen, €39,330 To €57,200 On The List

The windscreen of the blue car carries “ab € 36.220,-” (photographed 16 March 2025). The sign does not name the version.

Peugeot Austria’s list of 6 November 2024 gives these prices, including NoVA and 20 per cent VAT, in the two trims, Allure and GT.

  • The Hybrid 136 e-DCS6 costs €39,330 in Allure and €43,480 in GT.
  • The Plug-in Hybrid 195 e-DCS7 costs €42,940 and €47,390.
  • The electric 210 PS car with 73 kWh costs €48,450 and €52,900.
  • The electric 230 PS car with 98 kWh costs €52,550 and €57,200.

Our Take

The AUTO TV walkaround’s verdict is that the 3008 GT is a bold step for the crossover class and looks special next to more mundane rivals.

The cabin is the case for it. The 21-inch screen, the Alcantara and the small steering wheel give the GT a character that its 10.2-second sprint does not.

The windscreen in Graz said €36,220, below the €39,330 that the November 2024 list gives for the cheapest Hybrid 136. Ask a dealer what sits inside the lower number.
