Volkswagen Tayron Up Close: Seven Seats And A Warsaw Dealer Card From 186,290 zł

Volkswagen's second-largest SUV in Europe stood on a Polish dealer stand a year after its world premiere, priced at 252,050 zł for the 150 kW petrol 4MOTION on show.

Volkswagen’s second-largest SUV in Europe reached a Polish dealer stand a year after its world premiere, and the card beside it did the talking. The Tayron range starts at 186,290 zł, it said. The silver Elegance 4MOTION on show was 252,050 zł gross.

We photographed it on the CityMotors Gdańsk stand at the Warsaw Motor Show 2025. Nobody drove it, so this is a read of the stand, the card and the published figures.

A Light Strip, Chrome Slats And A Cordon

The plate reads “Nowy Tayron”. From the front, a light strip runs across the nose into slim headlamps and a large VW badge, above a black grille with chrome slats and a silver lower bumper trim.

The stand wall behind it carries the CityMotors name, and an Emil Frey banner stands beside it. A few visitors stand around the car while a staff member adjusts a cordon at the left.

252,050 zł For The Car On The Stand

The card says the car is a petrol Tayron in Elegance trim, with a 2.0 TSI 4MOTION engine rated at 150 kW and a seven-speed DSG. Beside the 252,050 zł gross price, it gives a leasing rate of 1,678 zł per month net with a 30 per cent down payment.

Those are Polish dealer figures, not Volkswagen’s. The card notes that the price is without extra accessories and invites visitors to ask about current promotions.

Five Seats Or Seven, And 885 Litres Behind Them

Volkswagen’s newsroom headline calls the Tayron a new SUV for the European market and, after the Touareg, its second-largest SUV in Europe. It released the car on 9 October 2024 under the title “world premiere”, ahead of the Paris Motor Show (14 to 20 October 2024).

It is about 4.8 metres long, and ADAC lists 4,792 mm with five seats or up to seven. That length buys a boot of 885 litres, or 2,090 litres with the rear seat folded.

Volkswagen’s launch range included a 110 kW (150 PS) 48-volt eTSI mild hybrid, turbo petrol and diesel engines, and two plug-in hybrids at 150 kW and 200 kW. The plug-ins carry a 19.7 kWh battery and more than 100 km of electric range.

What The Petrol 4MOTION Costs At The Pump

ADAC lists the car on the card, the 2.0 TSI OPF Elegance 4MOTION DSG, at 150 kW (204 PS) and 320 Nm. It also lists 7.6 litres per 100 km and 172 g/km of CO2 (WLTP). That is the running cost of choosing petrol with all-wheel drive.

Buyers who mostly drive short distances have the plug-in hybrids, with their 19.7 kWh battery, in the same range.

€56,980 For The Same Car In Germany

In Germany, Volkswagen opened pre-sales on 10 October 2024 from €45,475 for the Life with the 110 kW eTSI. ADAC’s catalogue lists the 2.0 TSI Elegance 4MOTION DSG at €56,980.

ADAC’s range runs from €48,010 for a 2.0 TDI Life to €62,440 for a 2.0 TDI R-Line 4MOTION. Those are base prices without options, the pages show no date, and some of the versions have ended.

Ask About The Promotions

On the card the Tayron is a large, well-equipped petrol SUV, available in Poland from 186,290 zł. We cannot convert the Polish figures into euros from a published source, so we do not.

If you are pricing one in Poland, start with the card’s own advice and ask about current promotions. German list prices come from a different market, so leave them out of the sum.
