Ford F-150 Lightning In Graz: The Electric Pick-Up Ford No Longer Builds, On A US-Import Stand

A Graz dealer that advertises US-car imports since 1998 brought the F-150 Lightning, a Raptor and a Corvette to MotionExpo. No organiser text mentions any of them.

Ford announced in December 2025 that it had stopped building the all-electric F-150 Lightning. Three months later a dark Lightning led a stand at MotionExpo Graz, light bar lit, with “Exklusiv by American Motors” across the top of its windscreen. We photographed it on Sunday 15 March 2026, on a stand the organiser never mentioned.

A Stand Missing From The Paperwork

The cars wore plates reading “American Motors” with an eagle, beside a large eagle banner. The organiser, Messe Congress Graz, named no US brand and no US-car dealer in its pre-show page, its premiere list or its results release, as far as we read them. The dealer’s own website lists MotionExpo, “13.03.2026 – 15.03.2026, Messe Graz Stadthalle”, among its events.

American Motors Graz GmbH, at Kärntner Straße 251 in Graz, calls itself “der Spezialist für Fahrzeuge aus den USA” and, on its website, “US-CAR IMPORT SEIT 1998”. Its front page features Jeep, the Chevrolet Corvette C8 and the Chevrolet Tahoe. The site also lists a workshop, spare parts and rental cars, so the stand at the fair is one end of a full dealership.

The Lightning Up Front

The F-150 Lightning is the electric version of Ford’s pick-up, and this one had its full-width light bar lit. We could not establish whether it is an official Ford car or an import from the United States. The dealer’s plate holder is the only identification it carries. A second Lightning stood behind the Raptor, its light bar lit as well.

The catch is that Ford no longer builds new ones. Ford announced on 15 December 2025 that it had ceased production of the all-electric Lightning, according to Michigan Public’s report of the call. An extended-range version, with a petrol engine acting as a generator, would follow. New examples of the electric truck are therefore limited to what dealers still hold in stock.

The truck had won Motor Trend’s 2023 Truck of the Year and, Ford said, was the best-selling electric truck in America in the last quarter. But Ford’s Andrew Frick said the company did not want to spend “billions more on large EVs that now have no path to profitability”.

A Raptor And Two Corvettes

Beside the Lightning stood a black F-150 Raptor, with “FORD” in large block letters across its grille, a black bull bar and off-road tyres. The stand also held a black Chevrolet Corvette C8 with its roof open. A grey Corvette shows behind the Lightning in two of our frames, so the stand held at least two.

In our Graz photographs from March 2025, the “American” lettering and a blue pick-up appear at the edge of the KGM frames. That may be the same dealer, but we cannot tell from the frames.

What It Costs

American Motors lists a new F-150 Lightning Lariat on AutoScout24, “Elektro 4×4”, with 420 kW (571 PS), for €139,800 (“SOFORT”). That is a dealer’s asking price in euros. The listing does not say what the price includes or whether the listed car is the one we photographed.

We filmed the Corvette C8 Stingray on the American Motors stand at MotionExpo Graz 2026. Our Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray Up Close article has the full story.

Our Take

American Motors Graz is the clearest example in our Graz photographs of a stand the organiser’s text does not describe. Its lead car is a pick-up whose production has ended, shown by a dealer who specialises in US imports. We make no claims about it beyond what the stand shows and what the dealer lists.

It is also a reminder of what an organiser’s paperwork leaves out. A premiere list and a results release describe only part of a show floor, and a dealer’s own page can fill the gap. The rest of the show is in our MotionExpo Graz 2026 report.
