Dacia Duster First Look: The Third Generation Starts At CHF 24,290, Whichever Trim You Pick

Dacia Switzerland published the price on the day the Geneva show opened, and put both trims at the same figure. We filmed the new Duster on the Dacia stand.

The third-generation Dacia Duster costs from CHF 24,290 in Switzerland, and both of its trims start at that price. Dacia Switzerland published the figure on 26 February 2024, the day the Geneva show opened.

We filmed the car on the Dacia stand during the show. We photographed a beige Duster and a dark green one with a loaded roof rack on the Monday and Tuesday.

A Tougher Face

The new face is a row of five horizontal bars with a squared-off “DC” badge in the middle. A slim light bar runs from each headlamp into the grille, and below it a wide grey skid plate carries the name plate.

In our photographs the beige car has copper-coloured mirror caps. Dacia Switzerland ties copper-brown accents to the Extreme trim, the outdoor version. The other trim, Journey, is the understated one, with an automatic parking brake and Media Nav Live.

The green car carries a roof box and a cool box on its rack. Dacia says the Duster has six YouClip mounting points fitted at the factory, with two more available as an accessory.

Built For Rough Use

The unpainted body protection is made of Starkle, Dacia says, a material with 20 per cent recycled polypropylene. Beige Sandstone is a new metallic colour among the seven on offer.

The 4×4 version has 217 mm of ground clearance, which Dacia Switzerland calls best in class. Just Auto reported that the car sits on the CMF-B platform.

Two Engines, One Gap

Dacia Switzerland lists two engines at launch. The TCe 130 is a new three-cylinder 1.2-litre turbo with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and a six-speed manual, offered in 4×2 or 4×4.

The Hybrid 140 is a full hybrid with a multi-mode automatic and a 1.2 kWh battery, and it came in 4×2 only. So in 2024, all-wheel drive came only with the TCe 130.

Orders, Deliveries And Today’s Prices

Orders opened in March 2024, and Swiss dealers received the car from June 2024. The launch release gives one starting price of CHF 24,290 for the whole range.

Dacia closed the gap in 2026 with a Hybrid 150 4×4, ordered from April and priced from CHF 30,290 in Extreme (Renault Switzerland, 9 April 2026). Dacia’s Swiss site also advertises a Duster expression hybrid 155 from CHF 26,990, on an undated page.

Our Take

The Duster matters because it keeps Dacia’s offer simple. One price covers two trims, and the beige and green cars we photographed look tough. The roof rack on the green car shows the outdoor idea Dacia wants to sell.

The video itself has no narration, only music and a closing request to subscribe, so the verdict rests on the stand and on Dacia’s release.

The one gap in the Geneva car’s range, a hybrid with all-wheel drive, closed in 2026 with the Hybrid 150 4×4.
