A black Leapmotor C10 REEV on the Emil Frey stand at AUTO/MOBIL Basel 2025, photographed on 5 September 2025. The door lettering reads “970 km Reichweite”.
Leapmotor’s C10 is a 4.74-metre family SUV that Stellantis sells in Switzerland as a battery car or as a range extender with 970 km of total range. At AUTO/MOBIL Basel two of them stood on the Emil Frey stand, one black and one white. Our AUTO/MOBIL Basel 2025 report covers the other cars at the show.
We filmed the C10 there on the show days, 5 and 6 September 2025. The black car in our video’s thumbnail is the range extender, and the organiser’s premiere list carries the C10 Reev as a “Schweizer Premiere”.
Leapmotor’s First Car For The World Market
MotorsActu reported on 6 November 2024, at Auto Zürich, that the C10 is Leapmotor’s first car developed for the world market. It is rear-wheel drive with 160 kW (218 hp) and 320 Nm, a 69.9 kWh battery and a WLTP range of 420 km.
The body is 4,739 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,680 mm high on a 2,825 mm wheelbase. The boot holds 435 to 1,410 litres, and MotorsActu lists the kerb weight at 1,940 kg.
The range extender adds a petrol engine to a smaller battery. The organiser’s list gives the C10 Reev 215 PS and 970 km in total, and the black car’s door lettering repeats the 970 km.
Charging Asks For Patience
Charging is where the C10 asks for patience. MotorsActu lists about 6 hours on AC and 30 minutes for a 30 to 80 per cent DC charge.
Rear-Seat Room And 20-Inch Wheels
The AUTO TV walkaround treats the C10 as Leapmotor’s opening move in Europe, backed by Stellantis, and as a rival to the Tesla Model Y. It highlights how much room the rear seat gives, along with the panoramic roof, the surround-sound system, the ambient lighting and the heated seats.
The Design trim, it says, brings 20-inch wheels and the premium audio.
Two Cars, Two Price Cards
The black car’s card reads “Leapmotor C10 1.5 REEV Design”, with the displayed model at CHF 39,390. The white car’s card reads “Leapmotor C10 Design”, at a displayed price close to the same figure. Both wear a windscreen sign reading “CHF 37’900” and “ab 2.9% Leasing”.
The importer’s price was lower. MotorsActu gave CHF 34,990 on 6 November 2024, and the organiser’s list gave the C10 Reev an entry price of CHF 35,900. On 10 December 2025 autosprint reported “from CHF 35,900”, with the four-wheel-drive C10 at CHF 39,900.
Across versions and dates, the Swiss range runs from CHF 34,990 to CHF 39,900.
Our Take: Maximum Space For Minimum Money
In our AUTO TV walkaround, we call the C10 a lot of car for the money and say it suits a buyer who wants maximum space for minimum money. We note that Leapmotor is a young Chinese brand that Stellantis now backs, so the dealer network is Stellantis’s.
We say the Design trim is the one to look at, for its 20-inch wheels and sound system. On the Basel stand, the black range-extender Design carried a card price of CHF 39,390.
