Innsbruck’s car show tells you who sells what in Tyrol. The organiser, Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI), published a dealer for every brand at the 36th Tiroler Autosalon, and most of the plates and signs in our photographs match it. BYD alone stood under five dealer names.
CMI counted “rund 40 Marken und über 180 aktuelle Modelle” for the car show, up from “über 150” models in its pre-show release. It calls the event “Westösterreichs größte Autoschau”, which is its own claim.
Five Dealers Under One BYD Sign
The exhibitor list reads like a map of the region’s showrooms. Auto Meisinger shows Alfa Romeo, DS, Jeep and Kia. Auto Linser has Leapmotor and Opel, and Auto Bacher has Citroën, Lexus, Peugeot and Toyota.
Porsche Inter Auto handles Audi, Cupra, SEAT, Škoda and VW, and Unterberger-Denzel handles BMW and Mini. BYD is the outlier, shared between Goidinger, Ellensohn, Oberhofer, Schick and Brunner.
The BYD Card Puts Price And Range Side By Side
The BYD Atto 2 DM-i stood under that five-dealer sign. Its windscreen card read “ab € 24.990,-*” and “bis zu 1.000 km Reichweite”, the only place on the floor where a price and a range claim sat together.
Both can be checked. BYD Austria’s site now shows “ab € 24.490”, with lease, insurance and trade-in bonuses plus a delivery package counted in, and up to 1,000 km of combined range. We compare it with other show cards in What Dealers Put On The Windscreen.
A white Jaecoo 7 SHS was also on show, and CMI lists Dosenberger as Jaecoo’s dealer. The importer’s price list of August 2026 puts it at €35,990 for the Comfort-Line and €39,490 for the Premium-Line.

Mercedes, Polestar And A Micra Already In Showrooms
A dark Polestar 2 stood on the floor with blue underglow.

Mercedes-Benz brought its new models with the news written on them. A blue GLB wore “Der neue GLB” lettering, and a black CLA Shooting Brake carried “Der neue CLA Shooting Brake” on its door. We follow both across four shows in our Mercedes report.

A blue electric Nissan Micra was also on the floor, and it was a car visitors could already buy. The Austrian site weekend.at reported on 13 March, during the show, that the Micra was “ab sofort” at Austria’s Nissan partners.

A Big Fair Without A Car-Show Head Count
The Autosalon ran from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 March 2026 at Messe Innsbruck, in Halle A and the outdoor area, as part of the 41st Tiroler Frühjahrsmesse. It was open daily from 10:00 to 17:00. We were there on the Thursday and the Friday.
That setting is the weak spot in the numbers. CMI’s final report gave “rund 35.700” visitors and “rund 330” exhibiting companies for the whole Frühjahrsmesse, sustainability fair included, so nobody knows how many came for the cars.
CMI’s head of fairs, Stefan Kleinlercher, spoke of “großes Interesse an den zahlreichen Modellpremieren”. No release names a specific premiere, so the cars in this report are the ones in our photographs.

Start With The Dealer List
Innsbruck is a dealer show with an unusually clear dealer list, and that is its real use. If you are shopping in Tyrol, CMI’s exhibitor list tells you which showroom carries which badge. For a BYD, you have five to choose from.
