The EX60 is Volvo’s entry into the biggest EV segment, priced in line with the XC60 plug-in hybrid. In Paris it stood next to the EX60 Cross Country on Volvo France’s stand, and French buyers can order that one now.
The EX60 itself isn’t new. Volvo revealed it in January, and European deliveries began in July.
The First Car On SPA3
It’s a five-seat electric mid-size SUV, the first car on Volvo’s SPA3 architecture, built in Torslanda, Sweden. It’s 4,803 mm long, with a 2,970 mm wheelbase. The 800-volt system is what allows the DC charging peaks of up to 370 kW in the table below.
Gemini On Board
It’s the first Volvo with Google Gemini built in, running on NVIDIA and Qualcomm hardware. Inside is a curved 15-inch OLED centre display and a 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system, with speakers in the headrests for the first time in a Volvo. The frameless doors open with illuminated wing-grip handles.
Up To 810 km From The Biggest Battery
Three versions cover the range. The rear-drive P6 is the way in, and the P12’s 112 kWh battery is what takes it to 810 km WLTP.
| P6 RWD | P10 AWD | P12 AWD | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power | 275 kW / 374 PS | 375 kW / 510 PS | 500 kW / 680 PS |
| Battery (usable) | 80 kWh | 91 kWh | 112 kWh |
| WLTP range | 611 km | 660 km | up to 810 km |
| DC peak | 320 kW | 370 kW | 370 kW |
| 0–100 km/h | 5.9 s | 4.6 s | 3.9 s |
Preliminary figures. Volvo says the P12 adds up to 340 km in 10 minutes on a 400 kW charger.

“With this car, we remove all remaining obstacles for going electric.”
Håkan Samuelsson, CEO Volvo Cars (January 2026)
Our Take
The EX60 doesn’t try to be showy, and that’s its strength. It looks like an XC60 buyer’s next car, with an 800-volt system and up to 810 km underneath. Priced in line with the XC60 plug-in hybrid, it makes switching to electric an easy decision for that buyer.
The Cross Country asks for patience. It can be ordered now, but first deliveries are expected in the second half of 2027. Both cars are on show at Auto Zürich next month, and the rest of Paris is in our Paris Motor Show 2026 hub.
