Alpine A110 GTS First Look: The GT And S In One Car, With An End Date

A 300 hp 1.8-litre turbo, the sport chassis of the S and an optional aero kit inspired by the R. Alpine UK now sells the last petrol A110s from stock.

The A110 GTS replaces both the GT and the S, according to the AUTO TV walkaround, and it arrives as the petrol Alpine nears its end. On 24 October 2025 Autocar reported that Alpine would build “just 1750 more examples of the standard A110”, plus 50 A110 R, before production ends in mid-2026.

Five days later a matt grey GTS stood on the RRG Suisse stand at Auto Zürich. We filmed it there on the show days, 29 to 31 October 2025, and put the video online on 16 November.

One Alpine Where There Used To Be Two

The GTS takes the sport chassis of the S and adds an optional aero kit inspired by the R, the walkaround says. Alpine UK’s page lists the rest. A 1.8-litre turbo makes 300 hp at 6,300 rpm, and the aluminium chassis is tuned for this model.

The mid-mounted engine puts 56 per cent of the weight over the rear wheels and 44 per cent over the front. Alpine UK quotes 4.2 seconds from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h).

Aero You Can See On The Stand

The aero is visible hardware. A front splitter and a rear wing are standard on the GTS, and the optional kit adds carbon side skirts and a rear diffuser. The walkaround also points out the flat underbody.

In the cabin the walkaround lists heated leather seats, a Focal sound system with a subwoofer and glossy carbon set against aluminium. Sport pedals and an aluminium footrest for the passenger complete the list. Alpine UK’s page names the same equipment and adds an Akrapovic exhaust.

A Car With An End Date

The GTS is a car with an end date. Alpine UK’s page, as of 15 October 2026, says the A110 can no longer be configured to order and that the last units are available from stock. In Switzerland, that means a buyer takes what a dealer still has.

The walkaround makes the same point. The second-generation A110 ends in mid-2026, and Alpine then goes fully electric.

After The A110, Alpine Goes Electric

Alpine Switzerland’s website, on 15 October 2026, listed the electric A290 from CHF 38,000 and the A390 from CHF 64,500. Our Alpine report covers the other Alpines we photographed.

Our Take: One Last Sports Car Built On The Fundamentals

We call the GTS the sweet spot of Alpine’s range and “the thinking driver’s sports car”. Our argument is that the money goes on engineering: aluminium construction, a mid-engine layout and real aerodynamics, with no hybrid system.

We see it as one last chance to buy a modern sports car built on the fundamentals.
