Three petrol A110s in Warsaw in 2023. An electric A390 in Brussels in 2026. In between, Alpine built its last second-generation A110, and we photographed its stand at eight motor shows along the way. Taken in order, the photographs show a sports-car maker turning its range over in public.
Warsaw, October 2023: Three A110s
Alpine’s Polish dealer brought three A110s to the first Warsaw Motor Show in four years. Placards read A110S on a grey and a purple car and A110GT on a green one.
The two versions shared an engine. Alpine’s 2021 release gave the GT and the S the same 1.8-litre turbo four with 300 hp (221 kW) and 340 Nm, but the S has stiffer springs and sits 4 mm lower. In Germany, Alpine’s price list of 3 October 2023 ran from €61,950 for the A110 to €109,950 for the A110 R, with the GT at €71,950 and the S at €73,950.

Warsaw, November 2024: The Electric A290
A year later the same show had an electric Alpine. Alpine’s press page of 12 November 2024 said it would show the A290 “przedpremierowo”, as a pre-premiere, and for the first time in Poland to such a broad audience. So we describe it as the first showing to the Polish public.
The A290 was revealed on 13 June 2024. Alpine Germany lists up to 220 PS, 300 Nm, 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and up to 380 km of WLTP range. The German list ran from €38,700 for the GT to €46,200 for the Première Édition, and autotijd.be’s Belgian list of November 2024 shows the same two figures. More from Warsaw is in our Warsaw Motor Show report.

Paris, October 2024: A €330,000 Blue A110
In Paris the A110 got its most expensive version. The organiser’s report says Alpine unveiled the A110 R Ultime on 14 October 2024 beside the A390_β show car, the Alpenglow HY6 and the A290. Alpine’s press release gives it a 345 hp engine with 420 Nm, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a run of 110 cars, from €265,000 including VAT in France.
The blue car on the stand, shown in our photograph with an “A110 R Ultime” placard, was a one-off “La Bleue” configuration limited to 15 cars, priced by Alpine at €330,000. The A390_β is not in our photographs. The rest of that show is in our Paris Motor Show 2024 report.

Brussels, January 2025: R Turini And A Prize
The European Car of the Year for 2025 went jointly to the Renault 5 and the Alpine A290, in a ceremony at the start of the Brussels Motor Show, according to the award’s organisation.
The Alpine car we photographed at the show was a red A110 R Turini. Alpine announced the Turini on 4 December 2023 as a version of the R with 18-inch aluminium wheels, with 300 hp and 340 Nm. Belgium’s list of April 2024 priced it at €106,000 including VAT (autotijd.be), the dearest A110 on that list.

Warsaw And Zürich, Autumn 2025: The End Of Petrol Is Announced
On 27 October 2025 Alpine confirmed that the next A110 would be fully electric. Petrol production at Dieppe would stop in mid-2026 after a final run of 1,750 cars (electrive).
Less than three weeks later in Warsaw, we photographed two A290s, one grey and one black, plus a blue A110 and a red A110 S. In Zürich, in the days after the announcement, a matt black A110 with a plate reading “RRG” and a Swiss web address stood on the floor.

Brussels, January 2026: A290 And A390
It is also on show at Auto Zürich 2026, 5–8 November; our Auto Zürich 2026 guide has the details.
By Brussels in January 2026 the A290 and the A390 stood side by side. The A390 is a five-seat electric fastback with an 89 kWh battery. Electrive reported on 28 October 2025 that the GT has 295 kW, 661 Nm and up to 555 km of WLTP range, from €67,500. The GTS has 345 kW and up to 515 km, from at least €78,000.
Electrive named no market for those prices. They are Belgium’s too: Moniteur Automobile listed the GT from €67,500 and the GTS from at least €78,000 on 31 October 2025. Belgium’s A290 list was still €38,700 to €46,200. More in our Alpine A390 First Look.

Paris, October 2026: A Crocodile On An Alpine
The petrol era closed on 1 July 2026, when Alpine built the last second-generation A110, an A110 R 70 in Alpine Blue, ending a run of 28,701 cars (paultan.org, 2 July 2026).
In Paris this month we photographed a white Alpine concept with “Lacoste” lettering on its bumper, an Alpine badge and a red stripe on its nose. Alpine and Lacoste revealed an A290 Rallye concept in July 2026 with white paint and a red interior, and said it would not be built (Wallpaper*, 2 July 2026). We could not confirm that the car in Paris is that concept. Our First Look at Alpine’s Paris concept covers the rest of the stand.

Our Take: The A110 Has Gone, Its Successor Hasn’t Arrived
The A110 stood alone in 2023, and the A290 arrived in 2024. The A110 R Ultime showed what a final petrol special could cost, and by January 2026 the A390 was on the floor as the A110’s final production run wound down. Prices were set market by market, in euros in Belgium and Germany and in francs in Switzerland.
For A110 buyers, the change has left a gap. The last petrol A110 was built on 1 July 2026, and what the electric one will cost is not yet known. That price is the next thing to watch.
