Geely has picked a number Swiss buyers will notice: CHF 19,990 for the E2, CHF 10 under the CHF 20,000 mark. The electric E5 starts at CHF 29,990 and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid at CHF 36,990.
The brand launched at an event in Zürich on 16 September with the E5 and the Starray EM-i (vybe, 17 Sep). The small E2 follows later in 2026.
Auto Zürich 2026 is the first edition with Geely on the organiser’s brand list. All three cars have novelty entries, and Geely is among the 18 brands on the Media Day stage on 4 November.
Three Prices In Three Crowded Spots
| Model | Type | CHF | Source, date | Swiss availability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Geely E2 | Electric small car, five seats | From 19,990 | Automobil Revue, 17 Sep 2026; vybe, 17 Sep 2026 | Later in 2026 |
| Geely E5 | Electric compact SUV | From 29,990 | Automobil Revue, 17 Sep 2026 | Market launch in September |
| Geely Starray EM-i | Plug-in hybrid compact SUV | From 36,990 | Automobil Revue, 17 Sep 2026 | Market launch in September |
Each step lands where the competition is thickest. In our table of Swiss prices at the show, the E2 is one of five novelties under CHF 20,000. The E5 shares its CHF 29,990 from-price with the Hyundai IONIQ 3.
The Starray EM-i sits between the XPENG L03 (35,600) and the Audi A2 e-tron (37,650). The E2 and E5 both make our budget shortlist.
These are from-prices, and neither source says how many versions each model has. The E5 and Starray prices were already in Automobil Revue’s 19 June report.
In Switzerland, The Electric SUV Costs Less
Here the E5 starts CHF 7,000 below the Starray EM-i. In Germany, Blick put the E5 at about €38,000 and the Starray EM-i at about €33,000 on 19 June 2026.
AutoRevue.at gave Austrian list prices of €37,990 and €34,990 on 21 August 2026. After €5,000 of launch bonuses, those became €32,990 and €29,990.
We do not convert or compare the amounts, because equipment and taxes differ by market. What changes is the order, so in Switzerland the electric E5 is Geely’s cheaper compact SUV. Automobil Revue’s June report only assumed that CHF 29,990 buys the entry E5.
Emil Frey Brings A Ready Network
The Emil Frey Group became Geely Auto’s official importer for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, announced on 19 June. Geely’s newsroom dates its release 21 June. Emil Frey already sells Zeekr and Farizon, two other Geely Auto Group brands.
Automobil Revue names GZ Automobile AG in Härkingen as responsible for import and distribution. Emil Frey handles sales, advice and service. At launch the network had 12 locations (AR and vybe, 17 Sep), and we found no public list of them.
Electric cars and plug-in hybrids come first, with full hybrids from 2027 (AR). Geely gives all four announced models a warranty of eight years or 200,000 km. Emil Frey’s “Geely Care” package adds Europe-wide breakdown assistance.
What The Cars Offer
| E2 | E5 | Starray EM-i | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drive | Rear motor, 60 kW (82 PS) or 85 kW (116 PS) by version (organiser’s page) | Front motor, 160 kW (218 PS), 320 Nm, LFP battery (organiser’s page) | 1.5-litre petrol engine, 73 kW, plus a 160 kW (218 PS) electric motor (organiser’s page); 193 kW system output (Emil Frey; AR) |
| WLTP range | Up to 345 km with the larger battery (organiser; AR) | Up to 450 km (Emil Frey; AR) | Up to 136 km electric, up to 1,055 km combined (Emil Frey; AR) |
| Charging | DC up to 80 kW (AR) | DC 100 kW (Emil Frey) or up to 135 kW (AR) | Battery 29.8 kWh in the European version (organiser’s page) |
| Space | 4.14 m long; boot 375 litres plus 70 litres under the bonnet (organiser; vybe) | Boot 461–1,877 litres (Emil Frey) | Boot 528 litres (organiser’s page); up to 2,065 litres (AR) |
| Safety | Not stated | Five Euro NCAP stars, per Emil Frey and Geely Global | Five Euro NCAP stars, per Emil Frey and Geely Global |
The organiser and Automobil Revue quote the E2’s 345 km only for the larger battery, and no source says which battery the CHF 19,990 car has. So the headline price and the headline range may belong to different versions.
For the E5, the importer gives 100 kW charging and Automobil Revue 135 kW. Some outlets quote 475 km of range; we use the 450 km that both the importer and AR give.
A Fourth Model Is Coming
Automobil Revue reports a fourth model, a large plug-in hybrid SUV, also due in 2026, with no details from Geely. It names the Galaxy Zhanjian 700 and Galaxy M9 as possible candidates, without Swiss confirmation. Emil Frey says more models will follow in the coming months.
Where To Find Geely At The Show
- Media Day, 4 November: Geely is among the 18 brands the organiser lists for the Media Stage in Hall 6, “according to current planning” (organiser, 6 Oct 2026; our Media Day guide).
- The stand: GZ Automobile AG is in the Penthouse, which the organiser also calls Hall 7. BYD, DENZA, Hedin Distribution (XPENG), Lynk & Co, Maserati and Volvo are there too.
- The cars: the E2, E5 and Starray EM-i each have a novelty entry, with no premiere label on the organiser’s pages.
- Test drives: the E2 and the Starray EM-i are on the EV Experience list, with free, accompanied drives bookable at ev-experience.ch.
We filmed the E5 and the Starray EM-i in Paris for Every Chinese Brand At Paris 2026. Geely is one of six Chinese brands new to the Auto Zürich list this year (by the numbers), and the wider picture is in Chinese brands arriving in Switzerland.
Our take
Geely has priced its way into the two busiest spots in the Swiss table, just under CHF 20,000 and at CHF 29,990. It has also put its EV below its hybrid on price, which it has not done in Germany or Austria.
On the Penthouse stand, ask three things: where the 12 dealers are, when the E2 lands, and which version each from-price buys. Media Day on 4 November is the first chance, and we will update this page then.
